Bumble wax wrap (25cm)
Each roll includes a 25cm beeswax wrap rolled round a single bee home - a short tube you can hang in your garden for a tired bee!
Comes in a variety of designs chosen at random - a surprise!
Bumble Wraps can last up to a year depending on care and use. Taking good care of your wrap will extend its life.
Do not use with raw fish or meat and protect wraps from heat sources (such as the oven, microwave, dishwasher, full sun on a hot day or anything hot enough to melt wax).
Beeswax melts at around 62-62°C, but it begins to soften before that. When they come to the end of their life they can go on the compost heap or they make great fire lighters!
How to clean you beeswax wrap - cloth or brush
Cleaning your food wraps couldn’t be simpler. Use cool water, a mild dish soap and a cloth of brush. Wipe clean and/or immerse in the cool water. Use a kitchen brush to give them a scrub if needed. Allow to dry naturally away from heat and store rolled or folded, ideally where everyone can see them.
Refresh the beeswax wrap
With extensive use the wrap can begin to look a little tired. But not to worry, its very easy to remedy.
If you have an electric oven, place the wrap on a baking tray on a sheet of grease proof paper. Place in the oven at 110°C for 2 minutes. Remove from the oven and lift at the corners, hold for 30 seconds while the wax cools.
Alternatively, you can refresh your wrap using 2 large sheets of baking parchment and your iron. Place your wrap between the 2 sheets and use a hot iron, NO steam. The wax will melt and reset. Remove the beeswax wrap from the baking parchment straightaway and allow to cool.
